Totally Terrible Things on Tuesday:
- Punk Face starts Freshman Band Camp tomorrow morning.
- The temps will be in the upper 90's with 'feels like' temps in the triple digits.
- I will not be there to lend a helping hand.
- I am quietly freaking out...because my baby is starting high school.
- I am quietly freaking out because my baby will have to walk to the high school---and while the high school is less than a mile (or maybe right at a mile) from the house he has to cross a busy four lane road w/o a crosswalk only being able to cross when the light turns green. This is when all of that time living out in the country or on a cul-de-sac has come back to being not such a great thing because he hasn't had a lot of practice crossing a busy road.
- He'd be so mortified if he knew I was telling all of this about him.
- Did I tell you I have a temp job? I start it tomorrow and it lasts through next Tuesday.
- Punk Face starts Freshman Band Camp tomorrow morning. (isn't it amazing that somethings can just be wonderful and great while at the same time be so saddening and depressing?)
- Congress (or the House--whoever...I am not a political person although I should be) passed another extended emergency unemployment benefit that should last for four more months. I hope the other body (Senate?) pass it, too and I am still eligible for the emergency extended benefit.
- Okay, time for bed. I have to get up in the morning. :)
Punk Face?
He'd be so mortified if he knew I was telling all of this about him.
Of course he would! But apparently, it's a mom's job to embarrass her kids. Perfectly normal and fairly typical. ;-)

Jordan has a variety of different nicknames.
Punk
Punk Face
Turk
Turkey
Turkey Butt
Turkey Trot
Boy Wonder
Twerp
Twerpski
Brat
Then there are all of the different gaming names he has--I won't go into those as HE is the only one that uses them.

Glad to hear you have a temp job, one that won't interfere with unemployment benefits I hope LOL. My baby graduated high school this year and goes to the marines in October. Talk about freaking out.
